Back from a break.....

It's been awhile since I've written or posted - been too busy with life and it is passing me by so quickly I can hardly stand it. It's April 1st and that means school is over in 2 months. That will go so fast and that means summer will be here. Hard to think of summer when it snowed almost 5 inches Saturday night into Sunday. The snow is all gone and I'm kind of sad to see it go. As far as knitting goes... I have finished my simple yet effective shawl and it is adorable!

Here are some new projects on the needles that I'm working on. I have been eyeing this yarn for about a month and finally caved so I am making a chunky v-neck short-sleeved sweater. This yarn is Tabali which is 80% cotton and 20% viscose. Wonderful!!

And yet another project....a ponchette using a ASLANTRENDS Artesanal which is cotton, alpaca, and polyamide. This will be great for the spring and summer.

Well, I've got to get going but I will be back (hopefully sooner than the last break)!! Happy spring and knitting!!!

Cutest headband!!

So here's the cutest headband I've seen in awhile. I love it and am trying to figure out the pattern how to knit it. I really want one for myself (it is not mine)! I found a few patterns and am experimenting a little. Will update when I figure it out!! Here it is being modeled by my daughter - how cute is she?!?! The color is more like the darker purple but I liked the magenta color

Cold winter days.....

Well, the temp has finally made it above zero. Yesterday the high temperature was - 8. Fridgid!!!!! Add to that the 6 inches of snow and gigantic drifts from the winds!!! The kiddos had off from school yesterday and today. Normally that would be great except they have off on Monday and Tuesday as well. WHAT are we going to do over a 6 day weekend?!?! We just had off for Christmas break and struggled to find things to do. Oh well - these are the days to cuddle on the couch and watch movies and knit. Enjoy the cold winter days wherever you may be!!
